Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive: General availability of tenant rename with no scale limitations

Organizations undergoing rebranding, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or tenant consolidations often need their SharePoint domain name in URLs to reflect their new identity. The SharePoint Online Tenant Rename feature enables this change. We are announcing general availability of advanced tenant rename with no site count limitation. With this update, the feature is now accessible to all customers, regardless of the total number of sites in the tenant. When this will happen: General availability begins worldwide on October 16, 2025. Rollout started in early October and is expected to complete by mid-October 2025. How this affects your organization: Who is affected: Admins managing SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business tenants globally. Thank you for your feedback.In 2018, we announced that we were no longer making feature updates to Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online, and we advised developers to move to Microsoft Graph. In September 2023, we announced that on October 1, 2026, we will start blocking EWS requests to Exchange Online. We are now less than 12 months from October 1, 2026. We have made progress on closing several parity gaps with more changes in development to be released in the coming quarters. Secure Boot certificate deployment guide and tools

Use the newly published guide and tools to start updating your organization’s expiring Secure Boot certificates. As the 2011 certificate authorities (CAs) start expiring in June 2026, 2023 CAs are required. Updated CAs allow Secure Boot to continue preventing malware early in the startup sequence. New resources are available for you to start monitoring, deploying, and troubleshooting Secure Boot CAs. These include the deployment playbook, new registry keys, Windows Event Log, and Windows Configuration System (WinCS) APIs. When will this happen: The deployment guide, new registry keys, and WinCS are available today. The 2023 Secure Boot CAs are rolling out gradually as part of Windows monthly updates starting with the October 2025 security update. Additional tools will be available soon.
